Absolutely Advisers maintains model investment portfolios that are constructed using combinations of exchange traded funds (ETFs), managed funds, and Australian direct shares. When our research providers update or make changes to investments or strategic asset allocations, we typically update our model portfolios.
Portfolio reviews will rebalance your portfolio to bring it in line with our latest model portfolios.
Portfolio updates is part of our portfolio review core service under both our 'digital' and 'plus' annual fee arrangements and is applied to any super, pension or investment accounts under our advice.
Changes to your actual asset allocation can be caused by movements in investment markets and share prices. It can also change when you cash account changes. For example a super account may receive a large employer super contribution.
Portfolio reviews will rebalance your actual asset allocation to bring it inline with your target asset allocation.

If you have one or more existing investments, e.g. a share, wholesale unlisted managed fund or exchange traded fund (ETF) and would like to keep it for any reason, it can be retained in your portfolio under this ancillary service. e.g. you may have a large unrealised capital gain.
Rebalancing of your portfolio will review the remainder of your portfolio excluding any retained investments.
This ancillary service can assist you with establishing and then mananging some of the day to day tasks on your accounts and life insurance policies under our advice, including assistance with:
✓ Establishment and updates: account applications, life insurance applications, updating your contact details on accounts and policies
✓ Super: contributions, withdrawals, consolidating super funds, personal tax deduction notices, updating beneficiary details
✓ Pension: changing pension payments, lump sum withdrawals, updating beneficiary details
✓ Personal Investments: cash deposits or withdrawals, establishing or changing regular cash deposits and withdrawals, changing a linked bank account
✓ Life insurance: notifying the insurer of a potential claim, increasing or decreasing the amount of cover, adjusting product features, updating your occupation category, updating beneficiary details, updating premium payment details
You can view your super, pension or investment portfolios online at any time. You will also receive your statements online as soon as they become available.
Our annual advice under our Plus package entitles you to a review of your needs, financial circumstances and objectives as they relate to your retirement.
This means we will have a yearly discussion during the year relating to progression towards achieving your retirement goals and any recommendations for variances to our agreed strategy.
The discussions are usually scheduled as either a phone call or face to face meeting.
This is an ancillary service that provides you with the option to add or exclude specific Australian shares, wholesale unlisted managed funds or exchange traded funds (ETF’s) in your portfolio.
The service is provided via a transaction only service where you personally authorise each transaction prior to implementation
Availability of the share or fund may be limited by the platform provider and the account type.
Absolutely Advisers reserves the right to limit the number of transactions in any period or the total additions or exclusions in a portfolio.
Absolutely's initial advice and set-up fees vary depending on the number of accounts. For a single account the cost is $390 inclusive GST. For each additional account the fee increases by $100 inclusive of GST. Our client(s) average two accounts resulting in an average set-up fee of $490. The initial set-up fee includes the cost of your statement of advice. Implementation of the initial product recommendations in included under our annual fee arrangement.
The traditional adviser initial advice and set-up fees are based on the Financial Planning Association (FPA) research published on 21 October 2020, which states "the average cost for a statment of advice is around $2,700".
